- this idea comes from two guys from Gdańsk who dreamed of promoting an encouraging electronic music and the artists who produces this. Listening to all kinds of this music from the electronic scene, we understand that this is brand church and we concernate on the DUB side.
Our project is a part of a wider idea, the Hatti Vatti fundation, which would like to promote concerts or performances and publishing of co-operating artists.

We are proud to announce the release of long-awaited consecutive part of the leading Qunabu dub-label compilation - "Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Dub Band 2". This time it's a set of 12 tracks made by artists from all over the world, namely from Canada, Turkey, Argentina, France, Portugal, Croatia, Germany, Italy and Poland. Expressly for this occasion premiere pieces were made by artists like Das Kraftfuttermischwerk, Segue, Peak or Echo_TM. Assorted dub artists have created tracks especially for the occasion, perfectly conveying the big idea behind the label: to present dub music in the broadest understanding of the term. Like the previous edition, this record aims to show the whole spectrum of minimal-dub-techno phenomenon, inspired by sounds from Berlin and Detroit. "Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Dub Band" is the new release from the Qunabu.com netlabel. Assorted Polish artists have created tracks especially for the occasion, perfectly conveying the big idea behind the label: to present DUB music in the broadest understanding of the term. The EP manages quite remote branches of this music on one disc, all of them steming from the same DUB root, including both near-reggae, pulsating tracks and minimal, almost technical sounds. This first EP in a series (the form of the international follow-up is crystalising) is a good way to get to know various incarnations of Polish DUB scene: you can find there Echo_TM, famous for their outstanding debut EP (and great solo albums), as well as Ars Deco recording for the legendary Echocord (a Kompakt sublabel) and other interesting artists.

We have released a brand new LP. This album comes from polish producer NN and it is called "Bugs Are Welcome". Activity of this project is focused around minimal and ambient abstractions. Inspired by work of Chain Reaction and Mille Plateaux NN decided to merge dub climate with ambient space our way, limiting to minimum amount of ornaments of composition to deeper and more abstractive content.

ARTISTS

NN

Activity of our project is focused around minimal and ambient abstractions. Inspired by work of chain reaction and mille plateaux we decided to merge dub climate with ambient space our way, limiting to minimum amount of ornaments of composition to deeper and more abstractive content.
Experimental, funny, random and unpredicted by programmers use of software can be heard in character and structure of our compositions. They are dominated by improvisation and ad hoc solutions instead of planned activities or realization of particular tasks.

Ars Deco

Born in Warsaw in 1977. After years of experiments with electronic music, there came the time for the official debut: a track "Indiglo", released on V.A. Vol 1 for Danish label Echocord. Then The Real And Imaginary Part of Us with the track "Morning On A Cloud was issued " for S!te Rec netlabel. You can find another track called "Sad Track" on V.A. Communication from the German No-Response netlabel. Recently Ars Deco has released EP "Sospesa" for Comatronic netlabel. He also remixed Receptor's "Birth Day", released on Ojo De Apolo label from Chile. Since 2003 he has been playing live in
Polish clubs.

Boskey

Real name: Piotr Kaliński. A dub loving debutant from Gdańsk. His biggest music influences are legendary roots and dub artists from Jamaican Studio One, heavy steppers tunes from the British and French new wave of cyber dub and specific mixture of the psychedelia from the late 60's, with minimal sounds from Berlin, or even dubby dubstep and cut'n'paste style. Boskey has been making dub music since 2003. A lot of his tracks are waiting for release in the near future. Member of the

Echo_TM

Duet that includes two musicians and producers with various records (also published on vinyl). ECHO_TM is Tomek Karczewski (Wszystkie Wschody Słońca) and Marcin Ziniak (Kadubra). The band was founded on spring 2005 year. Their singiel "Dub Culture" was well accepted in polish music scene and was also published on polish first dub/reggae netlabel Afterbeat.org. They meet and contact only through net. Recently they work on material for their first long play, at the same time they make remixes. Events they take part in are more different then traditional concert form.

Itoa

Founded in 2003 by Jaroslaw Jacek (giq), Daniel Nowak (Haloon), Patryk Gegniewicz (Revisque) in order to show their common creativity. Their area is electronic music composition, audiovisual engineering and badminton playing. Itoa are big fans of all kind of great music - without borders. In January 2006 they were joined by Wojtek Panufnik (X-Ceed). The band closely cooperate with: Novy, Fraise des Bois (vocal support). Itoa have released a lot of music - for example: a track "Fever" you can find on Polskie Leniwe - a mainstream compilation with electronic music released by Polish EMI. A remix of the song "Iskrzy" was released on Husky's EP (also EMI). Another Itoa mixes, by Aural Planet and Telewizor, were released on albums by independent labels. Itoa also contributed to an EP on Miasmah netlabel.

X-Ceed

Wojciech Panufnik also know as X-Ceed, produces music from early 90ties. His first records were made for Amiga demoscene. After years of gaining experience Wojciechs music finally focused on electronic kind. To define his music we have to sum many years of his own research and experiments. In the end we can hear ambient elements as
well as click&cut, IDM or even drill and drum'n'bass. From few years his work includes making computer games music, multimedia production, movies and video ads. Also he's a member of Itoa music group

OCP

Joao Ricardo, portuguese musician and sound designer. OCP music contain elements of ambient, glitch and the rhytmic dub chords made on Power Book. His musical route started at the age of 6 with piano studies. Years later he dedicated himself to the electric bass and guitar, as well as the exploration of such diverse tools as magnetic tape and software trackers. The passage through several bands and some incursions in the experimental music field led to the present OCP project. He released a lot of minimal/dub tracks for netlabels like MiMi Records, Serein, Testtube and Sinergy Networks. He presently dedicates himself to performing live and to composition production experimentation for multimedia forms Pygar with Hugo Olim.

77

Tomek Karczewski (known as half the Echo TM, and member of WWS) is a Polish music producer and sound engineer. His solo project matches ethereal dub adornments with trans and techno-based electronics. 77’s live performances marry music and audiovisual arts (his collaborator is Academy of Arts student Monika Lisiecka). His first EP was released in 2007 by our friends from Afterbeat Records.

Dubsuite

Dubsuite is a project of Holger Flinsch and Martin Müller aka Two_EM. They got in contact while working on a remix album on Martin's label Rotary-Cocktail, and realized that they shared some musical visions. First, no thought was spent on producing an album, but since they had many sessions in their studio, the whole work got so massive and solid that taking the steps towards an album was just a matter of time.
Holger Flinsch, well-known for his releases on many labels, in particular on Choke, has already released a whole bunch of music. The first releases came out in 1999 on the already mentioned legendary label Choke. Later, after he took the chance to produce music for other labels in the Frankfurt microcosm, he founded his own record label 'Basalt'. His last album "Hidden", the fifth in total, came out on Rotary Cocktail Rec.
Martin Müller aka "Two_EM" works as a DJ and producer since 1995 and is owner of the vinyl label Rotary Cocktail Recordings. As a DJ, he is always looking for interesting music with an unconventional structure and a very personal character.

Misk

American dubstep producer. Misk has been producing and DJing electronic music since circa 2000, and he's not about to slow down. Honing his undeniable sense of rhythm, combined with an unhealthy fixation on synthesis, sampling, melody and sound design, this music producer is doing much more than flirting with his muse these days. You can find his massive deep & dubby tunes on DubKraft Records’ various artists maxi single called "The Forwardub EP", or in some well known net dubstep mixes.

Fabienne

Traveling through different kinds of music like electro, house, techno, Fabienne (Poland) started to setlle in music kinds close to clickhouse, minimalist and dub. Subtle grooving beats, sharp but mild hats, spacious pads, story-tellin melodies and carefully selected sycho-funkin clicks are the main elements of his debut EP from Qunabu.

Das Kraftfuttermischwerk

Born in 1977 and 1976 Nico Wawersig and Ronny Kraak grew up in eastern Germany. Since 1999 they worked as Deejays regularly. They performed on various floors on diverse events due to their musical comprehension they had acquired over the interveining years. Techno, House and Ambient are among their repertoire as well as Psy-Trance - still having a soft spot for it. After the turn of the millennium they concluded to determine their musical diction – nevertheless this attempt failed. A crucial experience concerning downbeat music was the purchase of Norman Feller’s Album „Frameless Structure “. Music like that had never been heard before including House and Broken Beatz. Discovering netlabel Thinner they noticed that this very special sound was very much alike the sound they had acquired in the nineties. A lot of Basic Channel records had gained access onto their shelves. Wandering about worlds it occurs that they appear at psy-trance festivals as well as Chaos Communication Congress. Furthermore Ronny runs a label with his partner Tobi Ascook called „Tendenzen freier Entfaltung“.

Biodub

is a musician, producer and DJ from Hannover, Germany. He founded his first band at the early age of thirteen. Since that time he has regularly performed on stage. Originally a drummer he also learned to play guitar and keyboards over the years. Presently, he is drummer in the instrumentalband “Noetics” . In Addition, he perfoms with the jazzband “the audio unknown”. Since 2000, he is resident-DJ at numerous Clubs in Hannover. Under the alias “path” he was spinning records together wth DJs like Sven Väth, Ken Ishi and Kit Clayton. Along with DJ-ing came his desire for producing electronic music. The result is a deep and dubby sound that is equally comfortable on the dancefloor as in the living room. Based on a minimalistic foundation, his tracks are playful in a microscopical way, making his music extremely warm and alive.

Segue

Jordan Sauer from Vancouver B.C., Canada. He began making music a few years back when he discovered more danceable forms of electronic music, but since then he has moved on to experiment and develop his own style of dub inspired electronic music. With a background in classical violin, piano and guitar, he aims to infuse instrumentation with field samples in his own inventive way. much of the time, this results in sounds that are unrecognizable from there sample sources. This creative side of electronic music, which gives the artist complete control over the end result, is what keeps him going. The thought that there is so much yet to be explored makes him crazy.

Dubjack

Aregtinian dubby chord work, some ambient hiss, and the tight moderate tempo kick drum hi-hat combo make the Dubjack releases top notch! A nice solid reminder that dub techno is here to stay. Leonel Sastillo was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina where he actually lives, hes a producer and a dj frecuently known as Boeing and Arnold Slab, hes styles changes principally from tech-house to minimal, dub techno and techno.

Liquid Level

was born in 1974 in Zagreb, Croatia. He began performing as a DJ in the early 90’s. In Zagreb he is seen as one of the pioneers in promoting electronic music there. He began his work in the sphere of EBM and gradually specialized in others forms of electronic music such as psy-/progressive trance, minimal techno, breakbeat, dark industrial, dark ambient, dub-tech-house and many more. After working as a dj for some years he started collecting electronic music equipment and worked on his own projects. Some work of his project Liquid Level can be found on a “Demo trax” compilation by Thinner Records, Bondage Records released “Shapes ep”,Deepindub Records released “Liquid Shapes Lp”,Insectorama Records released “Twiter ep”,Mixotic Records released an “Liquid Level’s live set performance from electronic festival “Svak Sisak”,Insectorama Records released V.A.electronic washroom vol3 where you can find “Malfunction” 2nd Juraj’s project and of course Liquid Level... He’s been producing deep techno, electro and experimental noise music for years under various pseudonyms, such as Malfunction, Recent Reason and naturally, Liquid Level.

Peak

Born in 1976 in the midlands of southern Italy, Paolo Picone aka Peak, started his musical activi-tes in 1991, as a drummer at the age of 15. In 1995 he began to compose electronic music with samplers, drum machines and midi sequen-cers. He founded the Mou project in 2001, hailed by the press as one of the most important dub'n' bass live bands in Italy. One year later Mou start-ed performing live at the main italian alternative clubs and festivals like ArezzoWave, Leoncavallo, Officina99, Agricantus, with a tour numbering over 50 gigs in all italian regions. In 2003 Paolo founded the Soundabbast booking and events agency, setting up events with main international electronic artists as Deadbeat, Burnt Friedman, Retina.it, Rechenzentrum, Marco Messina, etc... Peak was the cofounder of the AquietBump netlabel which was launched in 2005. The "So Quiet" EP is the first release with this solo project, exploring dub and landscape music at same time.

The live project founded by Mes Brutah a.k.a. Ganja Ninja, Polish producer and dj who's started music career in 2002. As a producer Experimenthal Dubbing Sessions focuses on deep electronic sounds of dub and dub tech inspired by german stream of minimal and dub tech sounds.

Alexandre Lehmann., french dub techno producer. He produce electronic music since late 80’s. His music takes you to a journey through grudging beats, flashing delay stabs and underlining dubby cut-off pads – quality Berlin / Detroit stuff.

Mike Dereyen

Polish producer, released on Phatt Sounds label. He's interested in electronic music since 2004. When he was going deeper with his knowledge about music, he decided to try with production, it was July 2006. As you can guess beginig was very hard. But he doesn't gave up. He've looked of his style. He tried some minimal sounds and it's his favourite. He and his friends (Biotic and Zamer) established minimal, techno group named Youthful Corps.

Stendek

Real name Maciej Wojcieszkiewicz. Born in 1981 in Gdańsk (Poland), where he lives and studies of painting in The Academy of Fine Arts. Styles like ambient, minimal and IDM are his inspirations. He has released three EP's for Equaliteq, Phatt and Qunabu netlabels. Stendek has co-operated with Stylon Group and WEF(Warsaw Electronic Festival) which organizes music and visual performances. Stendek's music also can be found at the compilations WEFREC " NEW WAVES 2009 " and  " ONE SMALL STEP ".
